In the role of Key Account Manager, you will:
- Manage a defined list of national and international contracts with a number of International Key Accounts and local operators (retailers, wholesalers and/or distributors) for the following categories: Stationery, Lighters, Razors and other products distributed by the company in the market ;
- Establish commercial objectives and business plans for each client and clearly defines commercial budgets, in line with national objectives;
- Identify customer needs and opportunities based on clear market and customer analysis (field visits, Nielsen/GFK figures if available, Euromonitor data, data imported from the National Institute of Statistics, internal best practices, presentations/ arguments prepared by the Marketing and Category Analysis teams, as well as any other reliable and relevant source of information);
- Negotiate at a senior level with various local buyers for product ranges (obtaining new listings and developing existing product selection) within defined limits and in accordance with the assortment and pricing and sales policy defined by the Marketing Department and agreed with members of management, concluding commercial agreements as a result of this negotiation; ensures getting the best partners for every Back Margin investment it negotiates;
- Develop product categories together with the Marketing team or the local Category Analysis team;
- Analyze every aspect of the best and worst sellers and ensures that the best sellers are exploited to their full potential;
- Analyze last season's sales and reports on current product activity;
- Constantly monitor client budgets/investments and ensures that established annual limits/budgets are not exceeded;
- Be responsible for the full and timely collection of receivables, by permanently monitoring the receivables situation and taking any specific measures necessary to ensure timely payment throughout the year;
- Regularly provide accurate and reliable monthly forecasts, for each customer, for each stock unit (SKU);
- Regularly visit customers and conduct in-store checks at points of sale to gain an overview of key performance indicators;
- Gather information related to customer and competitor reaction, retail prices, relevant market movements in sales, purchasing, distribution, listings and then pass this information on to colleagues in other departments;
- Submit periodically and on time the activity reports requested by the hierarchical superior/management team.
What You'll Bring To BIC:
- Higher education
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position in FMCG (experience in the stationery industry is an advantage)
- Knowledge of English: conversational level
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, E-mail, etc.)
- Driving license, category B and availability to travel
- Knowledge about market and clients
- Experience in category analysis is an asset
- Experience in designing clear sales & marketing plans in accordance with group policy
- The ability to set priorities and orientation towards results
- Communication skills (written and oral), negotiation and interrelationship
- Organization and planning skills
- The capacity for initiative and creativity
- Ability to accurately and quickly analyze/interpret sales figures
