- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving pet food, supplies, and merchandise, while minimizing stock shortages and overstocking.
- Ensure the health and well-being of all animals in the store, including their feeding, grooming, and housing needs, and coordinating necessary veterinary care.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of pet store employees, scheduling shifts, and providing ongoing training and performance feedback.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment, including animal habitats, product displays, and customer areas.
- Implement and enforce animal welfare policies and guidelines, adhering to relevant regulations and ethical standards.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve store revenue targets, including planning and executing promotional activities and events.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new pet products, and services to provide customers with the latest information.
