Job Purpose: Responsible for planning, preparing and providing well-organized lectures to the students of Graphic Designing trade. Design and execute effective training sessions & material for the students which includes development of lesson plans, lectures, notes/handouts, periodic tests, quizzes, assignments and results.
Job Description:
- Schedule sessional calendars and resource planning before the commencement of the classes.
- Create lesson plans and deliver lectures of web and graphics design program
- Develop curricula, instructional material, and lesson plans for the graphic design programs in the form of presentations, books, and video training.
- Focused on student learning, their career counseling and able to respond to their queries on time
- Ensure that students are on track with their course plan by providing feedback on their work
- Organize re-strengthening/makeup classes for students requiring additional support.
- Participate in professional development activities to keep up with industry trends
- Teach students about graphics, as well as practical concepts of product considerations, design principles, colour science, customer management, etc.
- Prepare students for careers in graphic design by supervising commercial-level projects and coordinating on-job training
- Visiting and coordination with industry
- Technology-centric approach with out-of-the-box thinking to capitalize on opportunities for improvement.
- Learn and deploy learning management and student, data management tools effectively
- Actively participate in administrative tasks, event management, teaching substitute, upkeep of the computer laboratory, interactive sessions, etc.
- Participate in student and/or commercial projects as and when required
- Visit market for purchasing of accessories when required.
- Be a custodian of computer lab and any other appliances assigned.
- Perform any task assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements & Skills:
- Experience in teaching and training is essential.
- 3 - 8 years of relevant experience, prior teaching experience Graphics designing instructor would be a plus. (Teaching experience at Aptech preferred).
- Excellent visual design skills.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), In-Page, Corel Draw and other relevant desktop publishing tools is a must.
- Proficiency and hands-on experience with video and audio editing software & programs including Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Lightroom, etc.
- Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
- Creative and open to new ideas, adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
- An international freelancing experience will be of advantage.
- Proficiency in the English language and MS office.
- Excellent communication skills.
